Figure – Wood – Yaka – Congo DRC

Powerfull Yaka figure from DR Congo. The majority of Yaka figures were associated with Mbwoolo shrines.  Yaka figures are multi-functional and sometimes have contradictory roles, for example, they were used to heal and to cause illness. Good condition with traces of tribal use.
