Figure – Beads, Wood – Bamileke – Grassland of Cameroun

Great Royal ancestor figure of the Bamileke tribe. This beaded figure is covered with beautiful glass beads whose colours stand out against each other. These beads dolls were not worshipped, but honoured and cared for. These figures were shown during ceremonies for prestige. Good condition with slight traces of wear and tear. The figure stands a bit unstable, this can easily solved with putting a coin underneath the feet.
