Figure – Wood, Glass – Yombe – Congo

Unique Yombe sitting cross-legged from DR Congo. The ancestor figure has a great patina of use. The eyes are made from glass.
The 300,000 YOMBE people are artistically prolific.
This superb example of Kongo sculpture shows the emphasis given to the head and detailed body.
Good condition with traces of tribal use and a beautiful aged patina.
