Appealing Ibeji twins of the YORUBA tribe of Nigeria. One of the most famous Yoruba Ibeji woodcarvings is the figures that represent deceased twins. According to Yoruba faith, they affect the daily lives of family members so they were honored with libations and prayers.
Warm expression, decorated with glass beads. They have a beautiful dark oily patina of age, good condition with traces of wear and tear. The larger figure have some large holes in the wood.
