Stool – Wood – Bamun – Cameroon

Beautiful wooden stool from the BAMUN people of the Grassland of Cameroon. They range, in significance, from everyday furniture to a spiritual centre of the ethnic group. As in most African communities, an intimacy is believed to exist between the chief and his stool.

Good condition, with clear traces of wear and tear.
